Online resources

The Foundation supports the availability of online legal resources because they improve access to legal information and services in Victoria. We have awarded grants which assist organisations in developing their own free or low cost online legal resources, and we play a lead role in the development and management of several important community websites.

Victoria Law

The Victoria Law website provides access to plain language resources about the legal system and about legal issues that affect Victorians. It features a directory of legal sector agencies, as well as links to publications and resources in English and other languages. Victoria Law is developed in consultation with the Victorian legal and community sectors. See: Victoria Law

Rural Law Online

Rural Law Online is a comprehensive plain language website for rural Victorians. It offers information on areas of law which affect people living in regional and rural communities and details of free and low cost legal services in rural and regional areas. See: Rural Law Online

Bushfire Legal Help

The Bushfire Legal Help website was established in response to the 2009 Victorian bushfires, as part of a larger joint initiative established by Victoria Law Foundation and other legal service organisations to assist victims and survivors of the bushfires. The website addresses many of the complex legal issues that face victims and survivors as they rebuild their lives, including insurance, destroyed wills, the coronial process, and family law issues. Victorian Legal Assistance Forum

The Victorian Legal Assistance Forum (VLAF) promotes collaboration and co-ordination in the delivery of legal services to socially and economically disadvantaged people in Victoria. See: Victorian Legal Assistance Forum
