victoria law foundation's chief justice's medal for excellence and community service

The Chief Justice’s Medal for Excellence and Community Service is awarded each year to one graduating Victorian law student who  demonstrates academic excellence in their legal studies and a commitment to community service.

Nominations for 2012 are now closed.  The award will be presented at the winning student's university awards ceremony.

WHO DECIDES APPLICATIONS?
The Victoria Law Foundation awards the Medal on behalf of The Honourable Chief Justice Marilyn Warren and the Foundation Chair, The Honourable P D Cummins. A selection panel made up of members of the Foundation board and staff and a representative of the Chief Justice consider the applications.

who can apply?

Each year we ask each law school in Victoria to nominate one completing student of a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctorate course. For more information download: Chief Justice’s Medal nomination form (WORD – 736 KB)
