Community Resource Booklet for Koori Women Exiting Prison - $4,964
This grant funded the development, production and distribution of a resource booklet for Koori women exiting prison.

ABORIGINAL FAMILY VIOLENCE PREVENTION & LEGAL SERVICE
Paralegal Support Worker Training - $4,800
This project identified core competencies for paralegal support staff servicing Aboriginal victims/survivors of family violence and sexual assault and identifying existing training opportunities and gaps which need to be addressed.

ADULT MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION SERVICES (AMES)
Learning About the Law while Learning English - $4,960
A project designed to create resources for English teachers at AMES to assist them to teach about common legal issues in English-language classes.

BOROONDARA POLICE STATION
KNVS R NT OK (knives are not OK) - $5,000
This project created printed materials to raise awareness among young people about knives and knife violence throughout the Boroondara policing district.

FEDERATION OF COMMUNITY LEGAL CENTRES (VIC) INC
Smart Justice - $4,976
Smart Justice promotes community understanding of key topical justice issues. This grant enabled the updating of the Smart Justice factsheets, developing five new factsheets and updating the Smart Justice website.

FITZROY LEGAL SERVICE INC
Update Activist website - $5,000

Fitzroy Legal Service updated and revised their Activist website with a range of legal and policy updates and online activist strategies.

FLEMINGTON & KENSINGTON COMMUNITY LEGAL CENTRE INC
Racial Profiling Research Project - $2,959
This grant funded research into whether there is an identifiable pattern in policing in relation to racial and religious profiling and discrimination in the Flemington/Kensington community.

FOOTSCRAY COMMUNITY LEGAL CENTRE & FINANCIAL COUNSELLING SERVICE
Research Project - What Burmese Refugees Understand about Australian Law - $5,000

A research project to identify specific legal issues affecting the Burmese community in Melbourne.

JURIES COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE
Jury Service: Public Education Event - $2,824

Funded production of posters and associated promotional materials that promote awareness of Jury Service.

PLATFORM YOUTH THEATRE INC
Grafitti Youth Education Project - $4,000

A short theatrical performance (followed by a question and answer discussion session) will be researched, written and presented by Northcote High School students about the new State Government graffiti laws and their impact on young people.

UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
Putting the Offender Back into Sentencing - $1,575

To prepare four articles arising from empirical research in Victoria on public opinion and sentencing.

UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND (MELBOURNE)
Mediation and the GLBTIQ community - $4,996
The project will examine the accessibility and appropriateness of existing mediation services for members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (GLBTIQ) community, and make recommendations for future directions in this area.

VICTORIA LEGAL AID
Legal Assistance Dialogue Forums - $5,000
VLA intends to establish regular Legal Assistance Dialogue Forums as mechanisms to identify issues related to legal access for specific target groups and/or different areas of law.

Youth Led Human Rights Education and Short Film - $4,964

To engage youth leaders from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mentor them in human rights education through the creation of a short film.

Legal, Social and Familial Implications of Donor Conception and Surrogacy - $4,712

This project will inform people involved in donor conception and surrogacy arrangements about the legal, social and familial implications of this type of treatment for themselves and others.

To organize an information expo as part of an integrated approach to provide information to female international students about services and activities that are available to them in Melbourne.

Publication of a magazine-style ‘one stop’ resource covering the various aspects of law reform in Victoria for use by VCE teachers and students.

A practical and educational resource for law students, legal practitioners, academics and animal advocates wanting to get involved in the animal law movement.

Anti-Terrorism Laws- Affected Communities Forum Report - $4,179
To produce a report of a forum held for communities affected by Australia’s anti- terrorism laws.

WOMEN'S LEGAL SERVICE VICTORIA
Dealing with Family Violence in the Courts - $5,000
To organise a day-long seminar for approximately 70 support workers, so that they can achieve a shared understanding of the complexities and application of the laws relating to family violence and its impact on families.
