Tip #11: Websites that contain community legal information should include information on how to get further advice and support
Legal information has a vital role in helping people deal with legal issues. However, community legal information is not a replacement for legal advice.
If you have a website or produce a brochure that contains legal information, you should include ‘next steps’ information, and particularly information about how someone might get further help for their legal problem.
Make sure you include a range of relevant services, including services that offer low to no cost legal help. It’s a good idea to contact the organisation’s that you plan on listing to confirm their contact details, and any other details that might help someone to determine who would be the best service to contact for further assistance.
