Images are a powerful tool for helping you tell your story. In this session, you’ll learn about how to find and use images in your publishing and communications projects for maximum impact. The session will focus on:
- identifying compelling images that support your key messages
- understanding the technical aspects of using images, including resolution, scaling, colour profiles and file formats
- accessing free and low-cost image libraries.
About the presenter
Peter Davies is a writer and editor with an enduring interest in language, culture, education, art and architecture. He has worked on publishing and communications projects in architecture and design, education and the legal sector, both in print and online. Alongside freelance projects, he currently works in the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office, overseeing the editing and production of reports for the Parliament of Victoria. He has qualifications in journalism, arts management, editing and media law, and recently completed a master of applied linguistics at the University of Melbourne, focusing on language policy.
