About the presenter
Joh Kirby is a specialist in clear communication. In 2010 she received a Churchill Fellowship to research best practice community legal education. She worked for 12 years at the Victoria Law Foundation in this area, eight years as Executive Director.
She is currently the Principal at Kirby Governance, an organisation that specialises in advising not-for-profit organisations and statutory bodies in good governance practice. This role continues her work in clear communication as she focusses on how she can make governance easier through breaking down complexity.
Joh is a non-executive member of the Victoria Legal Aid board.
In this session Joh will focus on the key principles of good community legal education. In a quickly changing communication landscape these principles underpin producing work across different formats – print, online, video.
