Before you apply for a Personal Safety Intervention Order (PSIO): Options for resolving school and peer disputes
A resource to provide parents and young people involved in school and peer disputes with information about the PSIO process, consequences of PSIOs, and alternative options to resolve conflict.
Youthlaw will scope opportunities for providing training to schools about the process and implications of Personal Safety Intervention Orders (PSIO) and the importance of alternative options being fully explored such as effective school safety planning and tailored mediation or restorative practices to avoid matters proceeding to court.
Youthlaw will seek to work with the Children’s Court to refer applicants to this resource when approaching the court to make an application.
