Community Legal Information forum
African-Australian Legal Forum to be held in Footscray on 22nd August 2019 that will discuss the legal issues and community concerns that people from African background have with the Courts.
With a panel consisting of legal professionals working in the legal sector and organisations working closely with people affected by the legal system. The forum will bring together 2 magistrates, 1 barrister, 2 solicitors, community leaders and the general public

Build the organisation’s data capability to more consistently collect, understand and use data to better understand impact for clients and ensure services are identifying and meeting legal needs.

Design and trial a Police Accountability Worker Intake and Advice Line to help legal assistance lawyers and community workers respond to police misconduct. The initiative aims to build sector capacity and improve support for individuals experiencing police accountability issues.

This project will focus on building the knowledge and capacity of workers and agencies supporting young people in the out-of-home care system to identify, understand and respond to their unmet civil legal needs.

A series of legal workshops across the East Gippsland region for frontline family violence and community workers to improve understanding of the legal assistance pathways for clients interacting with family law and associated legal processes.
