The Big Issue – Workshops for Secondary Schools

The Big Issue Classroom offers three tailored workshops for secondary students. Led by a skilled facilitator, each workshop is designed to provoke thought and discussion through engaging activities. The workshop also gives students the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker who has experienced homelessness, disadvantage or disability first-hand. Students will be encouraged to think about the future of their communities, and the actions they can take to promote social justice.

Workshop costs:

  • $310 + GST per workshop for secondary and primary workshops
  • $230 + GST per workshop for junior primary workshop
  • $230 + GST per workshop for eClassroom delivery
    • School groups receive a 10 per cent discount when they book three or more workshops

The Big Issue eClassroom delivers interactive workshops online to secondary schools around Australia. The eClassroom follows a similar format to our face-to-face workshops, with secondary students hearing from a trained facilitator as well as a guest speaker who has experienced homelessness.
