Developing 'Your Day in Court Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT)' resource
Court Network developed a dedicated resource to support people with understanding Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
Court Network aims to provide a culturally inclusive support service for VCAT users, empowering them to better engage with tribunal processes, understand requirements, and know where to seek further information or support.
In 2024, CN developed two multilingual educational resources for multicultural users of the Magistrates’ Court, including those applying for IVOs. Translated into 11 languages and distributed in courts and online, these resources were well received.
Building on this success, CN proposes developing and translating a dedicated VCAT resource. The opening of VCAT in Wyndham and the relocation in the Melbourne CBD present a timely opportunity for targeted distribution.
