Legal Laneway Breakfast will be back in 2025

After the huge success of the first regional Legal Laneway Breakfast in 2023, the event returned to Ballarat in 2024 to celebrate the beginning of the legal year.

Legal professionals from around the region gathered at The Lane at The George Hotel to hear from guest speakers, including Magistrate Guillaume Bailin from the Assessment and Referral Court and Victoria Law Foundation Executive Director Lynne Haultain, while enjoying breakfast and coffees.

Magistrate Guillaume Bailin was appointed in 2020. Prior to appointment, he worked at Victoria Legal Aid for a number of years including as the Indictable Crime Program Manager. Prior to this, he held roles at the Office of Public Prosecutions, County Court and Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. Magistrate Bailin sat at Latrobe Valley Court for 18mths, Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and is now at Ballarat.
